I'm a writer and professional...ok, amateur......no, seasoned...coffee drinker. My experience includes conducting wine tastings at a vineyard, riding a leaking bus in the rain to New York, NY at 3 a.m., and chopping firewood in the mountains. Having said that, and for the sake of being efficient, I'll move on to the more predictable artist bio copy (although I actually did the things I mentioned)...I am inspired by narrative and dialogue, with a special interest in handmade elements and hands-on creativity. My appreciation of handmade/hands-on work comes from a need to become personally involved with creativity. Narrative and dialogue tell a story and facilitate conversation; they give art a function. I arrange words for article, copy, prose, and poetry needs.
I've written copy for the American Red Cross, Youth For Understanding, and Keith Bowman>>Design Junkie; I have a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Although I love blogs, my goals for publication reach as far as self-publishing books (coming soon). Bottom line, I dig creative communication.
If you have any questions, want to discuss a potential project, or would like to suggest ideas for articles/links/resources/etc, please send an email (along with coffee coupons) to joe at abstractlatte dot com."
